Holster Fitting
Tightness in a new holster is not uncommon and is much preferable to the alternative of being too loose. If the draw is a little stiff at first, it is recommended that you work with it to see if it doesn't loosen up with a bit of use. About 25 to 50 presentations should be a good indicator of whether the holster will break in sufficiently on its own or if maybe a little blocking out of the leather is in order. There are many variables as to why a holster would be excessively tight ranging from the texture of your guns finish, to slight changes in climate or humidity from where the holster is made. Regardless of the reason, a too tight holster can easily be remedied by the purchaser by a process called blocking
To block out (stretch) your new holster first UNLOAD your pistol or revolver and place the gun into the plastic bag that your new holster was packaged in. Then carefully insert the bagged gun all the way into the holster (do not! I repeat, do not!! wet or spray the holster with any solution to aid in the stretching process). The blocking out process as described above will in no way harm the crisp detailed molding of your new holster, nor will it ruin its retention qualities. It serves simply to stretch the leather a few thousands of an inch larger than the gun. The amount of stretching time needed for satisfactory results range from a just a few minutes to overnight. Any clarifications or concerns on the above, please email me.
Holster Care
If you desire to shine or condition your leather products, use only a paste wax, such as kiwi in the flat
cans or “Mink Oil” in the can, Buff to a shine. Never Liquid oil molded leather. It will soften the leather and take away retention.
To make the weapon “glide” more easily in or out just rub some mink oil on the inside of holster to lubricate the inside.
Always remove your firearm from your holster when you aren’t wearing it. The leather needs
to breath and any moisture that may have collected needs to evaporate.
Never allow your holster to be flattened. The molding procedure leaves the holster 3
dimensional and it needs to stay this way. If it becomes flattened at any point, you can expect it to stay flattened.
If your holster becomes wet for any reason, remove it as soon as possible. Ensure the holster
shape is maintained by pressing around your unloaded firearm. Carefully remove your firearm and gently set your holster aside to dry, under a fan, if possible.
C5 Leather holsters are made to fit standard factory equipped guns only. Additions or any alteration to the frame or dimensions of the gun itself may make the holster unsafe and increase the risk of an accident. C5 Leather holsters are made specifically to fit a single make and model of handgun and are marked accordingly. At no time should a handgun other than the make and model of gun for which the holster is made be used in a C5 Leather holster. It is the users responsibility throughout the life of the holster to check for proper fit and retention. This should be done each time the holster is used.
Because C5 Leather has no control over how its holsters and/or accessories will be used, or who they will be used by after their purchase, we disclaim any and all liability for incidental or consequential damages to person (s) and/or property resulting from the use of any C5 Leather product. You should understand that the decision you make to carry a firearm, either for sport or for personal defense, carries with it a certain amount of risk and potential for injury at your own risk.

There might be a bit of White residue from moisture resistant treatment on holster when you get it, Just wipe off with a cloth and buff. As you begin to use the holster and the leather begins to flex, it may discolor at the flex points from the finish. Rub these areas briskly with a finger or rag with some pressure and they will rub out nicely. Remember to periodically tighten any screws, as they will loosen with use… If you scratch the holster just use a Sharpie marker of the same color as the dye in the marker is very similar to the dye used in production. If the edge of the holster ever becomes marked, dented, or un smooth just take a round shaft pen and rub briskly and it will smooth out nicely. PLEASE WIPE DOWN THE HOLSTER BEFORE WEARING TO ASSURE THERE IS NO RESIDUE THAT MAY RUB OFF ON CLOTHING. RESIDUE MAY HAVE LINGERD FROM PRODUCTION.
